MMX (meaning Megaman X-1) was designed to run on DOS, since most users
now are running windows XP, They may experience problems getting it to run properly; as Windows XP does not really have DOS but a command prompt that emulates DOS. If, you experience any issues trying to run the game; see: "GETTING MMX TO RUN PROPERLY ON WINDOWS XP" folder within the: "MMX (DOS-PC)"Folder Under the "Extras" Section.

The "No-CD" folder is under the "Extras" Section, No-CD's available there are for the following games: MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, and MMX8. These are the only ones I have found No-CDs' for. (Note: No-CDs' are not needed for MMX as it for DOS or MMX2 as it an emulated SNES Verison) (Also Note: MMX6 and MMX7 require the game CD to in the drive to run it) After or before installing either game, burn the contents of the MMX6 (PC) and MMX7 (PC) folder on two seperate CD-Rs' and run each game from the CD-R. Alternatively, you can use "Game Jackal" to allow you to run the game without needing a CD (Game Jackal is included in the "Extras" Section Under "Game Tools").

The "Trainers" folder is under the "Extras" Section, Trainers available there are for the following games: MMX, MM5, and MMX8. These are the only ones I have found Trainers for. Additionaly, you can create your own trainers by using some or all tools found in the "Generic Game Trainer Tools" folder under the "extras" section then "Game Tools" (Information of each PC Trainer Tools can be found within the main folder).

The "Game Tools" folder is also under the "Extras" section. The following tools are available there:
DOSBox 0.63, Game Jackal v2.7.11.321, Microsoft Virtual PC 2004, Generic Game Trainer Tools, Pinnacle Game Profiler 3.x. I will note the basic purpose of these tools for more detailed information on them, vist there own website.
DOSBOX - Basically, allows you to run older DOS games on an O/S like Windows XP by emulating DOS in Full (ex. MMX-1).
Game Jackal - Basically, allows you to create a game profile and run a game without a game CD in the drive, most PC games would normally require the game CD to be in the drive before it will run. (ex. MMX6 and MMX7)
Microsoft Virtual PC - Basically, Allows you to install an secondary O/S without affecting your primary O/S. It installs and runs within a window, which allows you to play installed games without a "play in the windowed mode" option in a window. The only disadvantage to using virtual pc is that it does not support USB, which means most modern game controllers will not be compatible with it (ex. MMX, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, and MMX7).
Pinnacle Game Profiler - Basically, This adds game joystick and controller support for older games that do not have support for them or that do not support USB plug in play. What it really does is emulate keyboard presses and makes you controller act like the keyboard (ex. MMX-1).
Generic Game Trainer Tools - This was mentioned in (D.) check there for more information.

Fan-Made MMX Flash Games are just that, a megaman x game (.swf) created by a fan of the series, there are some good here: check them out, my favorite is MEGAMAN X RPG.

Although, MMX6 and MMX7 is included as part of the X series, they are in the korean language as an american release of these two games never came out for the PC, only the PS1 and PS2 saw these games originally in english. Now, with a "Megaman X Collection" game release for Nintendo Gamecube and Sony Playstation 2, these are the only systems that have them in english. But, inlcuded in this "MMX DVD AIO" are exact duplicates of the PS2 english scripts so you can follow along. The scripts are found in the "extras" section, just click on the one you need.
