目前 xbox 360's games 不支援 BD or HD-DVD，HD-DVD未來只使用在 movie playback (BD不明)，但是我相信最終會有games for BD or HD-DVD。
不過這衍生出另外一個問題，現在的 xbox 360's games 光盤與未來的BD or HD-DVD的驅動器是否相容 (指未來M$發售直接搭載 BD or HD-DVD 驅動器的 xbox 360)，就相容而言我猜測 xbox 360 加入HD-DVD陣營的可能性較大(HD-DVD對現在的DVD盤相容性優於BD)。
另外，讓我質疑的部份是這組織如何以 mpeg-2 格式去 dump xbox 360 game 的 d9盤，採 mpeg-2 dump 出的數據勢必爆增，會不會從原本一張盤的 game 變成二張，我很想看那 ISO 文件是經過何種特殊處理。

You shouldn't wait for an add-on that might never see the light of the day and ***that will only be used for HD DVD movie playback***. Microsoft's Japan Xbox division head Yoshihiro Maruyama revealed that if the HD DVD drive is ever developed, it will only be used for movie playback capabilities. No Xbox 360 games will be recorded in the new format.
