This is just a general warning regarding Cassini (GiriGiri renamed). The point of this post is to give a general warning to all emulation sites that are posting this emulator as a new emulator.
Cassini is still the same hacked GiriGiri emulator just renamed. The "source" is just a disassembled binary file. This post is not ment to put down the Cassini team in anway. I mean no disrespect to the Cassini team and in no way want to hurt their project. I just want people and other emulation sites to know what this emulator is and to judge for themselves on how to handle it.
My previous post was to inform people of the latest progress regarding this project and I had hoped people would understand it is still GiriGiri renamed, but I still see some other emulation sites posting this as a new project when in fact it is not.
There is still no response from the actual Sega Law department regarding the legality of using and editing the files and the only contact that is being used as proof of being legal is the older e-mail from Sega Tech Support.
Everyone is more then welcomed to debate this issue on our forums and I must repeat I am in no way trying to hurt or put down the Cassini team or their efforts. We are a news and information site and I believe people are entitiled to all the information regarding this project. Thanks for everyones understanding of this situation.
